We parked in Aston on Clun, which has a lot of strange buildings for somewhere so small.

We headed up to Burrow Fort, another iron age hill fort.

Then over the fields the other side, down into Hopesay.

We stopped for lunch in Hopesay churchyard

We went up to another hill fort on Wart Hill, but there wasn’t much remains of it left. But, there were marvellous views all around

We followed a delightful grassy path over Hopesay Hill and through the woods back down to Aston on Clun.

Chicken pieces & jacket potatoes for supper.
