We left home very soon after 10am, and apart from a bit of delay on the M62 (and the usual nonsense around Manchester) we had a good run over. We stopped for lunch in Frodsham, which we have often driven past on the M56, and is actually a very ancient & pretty little market town.
We arrived at the house about 4pm. It’s a modern estate house on the edge of a tiny village (one pub, one church, one shop & post office) – it’s basic, but clean and comfortable.

We strolled round the village while waiting for our Tesco delivery – it took about 10 minutes, including commiserating with a small child who had fallen off a skateboard!

Pizza for tea, and a glass of something nice before an early-ish night.
