2025-09-11 Trefriw & Two Llyns

Intermittent showers…

We parked in Trefriw and walked up the Crafnant valley to Llyn Geirionydd.

Monument to Taliesin, 6th century bard, who (allegedly) lived locally

We walked along the side of the lake to the top end, where we watched two horse-riders help give an obedience lesson to a young dog. Then we turned up through the woods and over the flank of Mynydd Deulyn (Mount two-lakes) to the shores of Llyn Crafnant.

Yummy?
We found a sheltered spot for a picnic
Craig Wen, above the end of the valley – it was all very craggy up there

On the way down the valley, we saw many waterfalls, all nicely full of water

And where there are waterfalls…

As we got back into Trefriw, we walked along by the Fairy Falls – which are good & solid, and not fairy-like at all!

Fairy Falls

And right opposite the end of the path into the village, was the Fairy Falls hotel – it would have been rude not to drop in for a quick pint!

Home for some rather nice pork chops from the farm shop.

23,000 steps

no geocaches (because I wasn’t paying attention 😢)
