The weather forecast was better for the north & west, so we headed right to the end of the Lleyn peninsula, and parked in Aberdaron. There was one small passing shower as we left the car park, and then the weather just got better and better.

We walked west along the coast path, up & down past coves and inlets, When we got to Pen y Cil, with views over to Bardsey Island, we found a sheltered spot for lunch.

We turned the corner towards Mynydd Mawr, the most westerly peak in Wales. We could (just!) see Pembrokeshire to the south and Anglesey to the north, but it was a little hazy for the Wicklow mountains. There were Choughs hunting through the fields, and we saw Ravens, Crows and Jakdaws too – and some Magpies on the way back, so nearly a full house of Corvids.

We walked north-west along the coast path to the next cove, then turned inland and walked through fields and along lanes back to Aberdaron – some of them better signposted than others.
We had a well-deserved pint in Aberdaron, then an ice cream as well. Mary paddled in the sea, but Brian chickened out!
The satnav only mis-guided us once on the way home. A quick stop at the Co-op for one or two essentials, then home for a shower and beefburgers for (quite a late) supper.
