2025-09-01 Portmeirion

The rain absolutely hammered down during the night – it woke us several times. But by the morning it had all calmed down, although the forecast was for showers & a fresh breeze all day.  So we went to Portmeirion.

We spent an hour or so ambling around the “village”, along with several coach parties.

We had lunch in one of the cafes, then explored the woodlands above the village

Bromeliad?

And along the coast to some lovely viewpoints

We went to Porthmadog for our ice-cream and a stroll around the harbour – where many long-suffering crabs were being hauled out by small children

Then home for pan-fried garlicky cheesy gnocchi, and Quizzy Monday
