We packed the car and were on the way very soon after 10am. We only had the very occasional traffic hitch, and were across the border into Wales by lunchtime. We stopped at a lovely pub near Flint, where the landlady was on her own but doing a fantastic job, very cheerfully

By the time we arrived at the cottage, the rain had set in.

The tesco driver found us with no problems, and we had pizza for tea. By the time we had finished, the rain had cleared, and we went for a little stroll round the village before bedtime.
