A cold wind & showers… A day for museums!

The Grosvenor Museum is the local town museum, full of bits of Roman and of schoolchildren with worksheets. There was also a room of rather nice silver pieces, and the usual random selection of portraits. Attached at the back is a “period house”, with each room in the style of a different period.

Sick to Death is a medical museum in an old church. After the obligatory gruesome plague section, it was very interesting & informative as to the development of various aspects of medicine through the ages. There was a display of “quack cures”, and then the giftshop was full of Healing Crystals, and Magic Potions and whatnot!

We had supper in a traditional pub, but skipped out of the Pub Quiz.
